There were notably fewer orders placed for newbuilds in August compared to previous months. Malaysian shipbuilder Nam Cheong has won contracts for one PSV and two AHTS vessels worth USD 43.81 million. The 3,000 dwt PSV will go to a new client in West Africa, while one of the 5,150 bhp AHTS was purchased by an existing customer in the Middle East. The other AHTS was bought by an owner based in Norway which will manage the vessel under a long-term contract with Petrobras. All three vessels are being built as part of the company's built-to-stock series at one of its subcontracted yards in China, and will be delivered between Q4 2012 to Ql 2013.
