Dubai-based Topaz Marine has purchased the 8,000 bhp AHTS A.H. Floriana and renamed it Caspian Reliance. Previously trading the Mediterranean sector before going inshore Italy, the 2010-built vessel has been reflagged from Malta to Azerbaijan, in order to cater to the Caspian Sea and Middle East region for offshore supply work.July showed a strong demand for AHTS vessel types, with JG Marine and Jaya Holdings selling their newbuilds, completed in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Meanwhile, the 1987-built Lady Gerda 8,700 bhp AHTS was sold to Indian operator TAG Sealogistics, and renamed TAG 11. DVB Bank also managed to sell the 5,250 bhp AHTS Shergar, which will be heading to Brazil on a four-year charter with Petrobras.
