Vessel owners operating in the Mediterranean are enjoying an increased amount of available work in the region, with new offshore supply vessel requirements issued recently by charterers. European owners are particularly busy at the moment with the majority of their fleets fixed on term charters. The general consensus is that work in the Mediterranean OSV market is certainly picking up from 2011, with recovery in full swing following the upheaval last year, particularly in Libya, Tunisia and Egypt.
