RK Offshore is in talks to sell its newbuild Ark Devon 8,000 bhp AHTS. The vessel is being built at the Drydocks World Batam yard and is scheduled for delivery in My 2009. The buyer is likely to be Mermaid Marine Australia, pending final approvals of its financial arrangements. It will be renamed upon delivery and does not yet have a firm contract in place. Tidewater's 1984 built Gulf Fleet No. 69 1121 dwt PSV has been sold to a company in West Africa after many years of service in the US Gulf of Mexico.
