Total begins second phase of Ofon field development offshore Nigeria

French oil and gas company Total has started work on the second phase of the Ofon field development off the coast of Nigeria. The site is located in oil mining lease (OML) 102, some 65km offshore at depths of 40m. Total senior vice president Jacques Marraud des Grottes said the company is increasing the pace of development of its resources in a sustainable manner with the launch of Ofon Phase 2.
