Sonim Technologies says that its new XP3340 SENTINEL mobile phone offers a lone worker safety solution that provides users with the longest GPS tracking time of any mobile phone. The phone includes man-down accelerometer technology, which is configured over-the-air by the partner monitoring server to match the end user's specific work scenario. According to the manufacturer, the man-down sensor detects impact, free-fall, prolonged tilt and no-movement at various thresholds, minimising false alarms and reducing the cost of monitoring operations.
