The new Tora CCS Safety Spectacles from 3M feature the manufacturer's cord control system, which is designed to keep corded earplugs attached, untangled and ready for use at all times. The earplug cord can also be used as a lanyard to carry the eyewear and earplugs around the neck when not in use, and help stop equipment getting lost. When not required, the cord can be hidden in a recessed groove in the spectacle arms to enhance comfort. The clear polycarbonate lenses are said to absorb 99.9% of UV rays and fully comply with the requirements of EN166:2001 personal eye protection specifications.
