Armed forces compensation increase

The Ministry of Defence has announced changes to the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme that mean increases in the awards paid to most injured personnel. The compensation scheme pays a tax-free lump sum for injuries due to service, with the most seriously injured given tax-free, index-linked Guaranteed Income Payment for life.
