Escape Mobility Company will be showing its new Escape-Mattress models at this year's Expo.According to the firm, the Escape-Mattress Healthcare is an all-in-one evacuation solution for healthcare or home care. Although it has the appearance of an 'ordinary' mattress, it can be used directly as an evacuation mattress without the need for any other equipment and can be transported safely along floors or down stairs, the company says. If the patient needs to be moved, the flaps on the sides and at the foot end of the mattress are folded over the bedclothes and patient so that the patient is immobilised and cannot slide off. The mattress is made from foam designed to combat a range of bacteria and fungi and has an anti-bacterial membrane.
