After eight months' intensive work, the independent review of health and safety legislation by Professor Ragnar E. Lofstedt was published at the end of November together with the Government's response.rnAsked in March 2011 by DWP minister Chris Grayling to "...look into the scope for reducing the burden of health and safety regulation on business whilst maintaining the progress that has been made in health and safety outcomes", the professor, together with an independent advisory panel, has studied over 200 submissions, visited work-sites and has spoken with numerous representatives and experts.
