Poor noise data puts workers at risk, says HSL

More than eight in ten machines in the workplace are failing to meet legal requirements for providing risk information on noise emissions, a study from the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL) has found. As a result, it is "highly likely" that purchasers and users of machinery will not be able to make informed choices about the safety of machinery or understand what control measures are needed to protect workers from noise risks, says the report.
