In March the Government announced its initial response to recommendations made by Robert Francis QC at the end of his inquiry into events at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust following the scandal over poor levels of care and high mortality rates at Stafford Hospital between January 2005 and March 2009. The Francis inquiry website includes his final report alongside comprehensive background details on the inquiry process and history, news updates and multimedia content. For ease of use, there is a page entitled Key documents, which contains all the official publications, while the Hearings and evidence page offers access to the schedule of hearings, copies of the witness statements, documents called in evidence and transcripts of each day's hearing.
