The Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) was set up in 2003 after the public inquiry into the Ladbroke Grove rail crash and carries out a range of activities to support the industry in the delivery of improved performance and cost. These activities are listed on the main menu of the homepage of the RSSB website and include Safety Strategies and Strategic Safety Plan and Learning from Operational Experience. Users can click on each area to access further information and resources. For instance, under Safety Performance and Risk there is a video explaining how the RSSB measures safety performance, plus details of the Safety Risk Model, Safety Management Information System and other related information.
