The Gangmasters Licencing Authority (GLA) has moved to the Home Office from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), following a triennial review of the agency which concluded that the functions performed by the GLA were still necessary. The Government says that the move will strengthen GLA's law enforcement functions and support the Home Office's work to tackle modern slavery and worker exploitation.
