New hospital cleanliness standard published

A new version of the British Standards Institution (BSI) specification for planning and measuring hospital cleanliness has been published. Specification for the planning, application and measurement of cleanliness services in hospitals was first published in 2011 to help acute, community and mental health hospitals prove they have systems in place to ensure they are clean and safe for patients. It provides a framework for a risk-based cleaning system and takes a continuous improvement approach to hygiene.
