Laing O'Rourke Manchester Airport Transformation Project's health, safety and environment team was named Team of the Year at the 2019 RoSPA Health and Safety Awards. Andrew Swindells, Laing O'Rouke health, safety & environment manager said: "It's a great achievement for the team. The Manchester Airport Transformation project is one of the biggest in the country with an average of £1million worth of construction happening every day. During 2018, the team focused on creating a strategy based on one of its core principles 'Safety is the Presence of Positives' placing a priority on being proactive in seeking out opportunities to add resilience to existing processes.
