Time to enter 2018 SGUK awards

The SCUK National Health and Safety Awards 2018 recognise innovation, excellence and outstanding service. The awards programme is split into three sections: Excellence Awards (incorporating the Alan Butler Awards); Outstanding Service Award (incorporating the Maurice Adamson Award); and, new for 2018, the Innovation Awards. Entry for all three categories closes this month. The Excellence Awards are open to all groups which are part of the 5GUK network, Judging is based around six key performance criteria in five areas: communication with groups, health and safety organisations and the wider community; selection of topics and speakers; support for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and its Helping Great Britain Work Well strategy; membership retention and recruitment; and proudest group achievement in the previous 12 months. Awards are made by an independent panel at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels, with the overall winner receiving the Alan Butler Award. Last year, this was awarded to East Anglia Construction Safety Group. The closing date for entries to the Excellence Awards is November 23, 2018.
