Healthcare professionals who have HIV and are undergoing treatment will from April 2014 be able to take part in certain medical and dental procedures. Nurse revalidation from 2015 will be based on a system described by the Nursing and Midwifery Council as 'proportionate and effective'. It will include confirmation by a third party.
