HSE CONSULTS ON ASBESTOS AND COSHH

The HSE is consulting on a draft revised approved code of practice (ACoP) on managing and working with asbestos. The regulator wants to consolidate the two existing ACoPs on asbestos - L127 (The management of asbestos in non-domestic premises) and L143 (Work with materials containing asbestos) - into one document. Under the plans, L127 will be withdrawn when the revised L143 is published, probably by the end of the year.
