A systematic review of the effectiveness and potential harm of psychological, pharmacological and emerging interventions to prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults found a general lack of robust evidence. Only interventions designed to work in the first three months after the traumatic exposure were included (19 included studies, 37 omitted owing to high risk of bias).
