The government should encourage employers to recruit people coping with drug and alcohol problems, by 'de-risking' employment decisions, an independent review by Dame Carol Black for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has found. Initiatives such as 'try before you buy'job placements, and in-work support and guidance on recruitment for employers are among her recommendations.
