摘要

Nearly two-thirds of managers (62%) admit that they sometimes put their company's interests above the wellbeing of their staff, findings from the fourth annual Business in the Community (BITC) mental health at work report reveals~1. The report is based on a national survey of 4,236 full- and part-time UK employees, representative of gender, age, region, industry sector and business size (though excluding sole traders and those working alone). It found that 39% of UK workers experienced poor mental health, which they said was due to work. Half of these (52%) said this was due to work pressures, including too many priorities or targets, while one-third (33%) said that it was caused by negative work relationships, with 24% explicitly citing bullying and harassment from their manager as a major cause.
