Two major state-owned nuclear companies, the State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation and China Power Investment Corporation, are negotiating a merger to increase competitiveness, Snptc said in a statement July 18. “The two companies are working under the guidance of related government departments to advance the consolidation work, and have already submitted the merger proposal to the State Council’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission,” said Snptc spokesperson Guo Hongbo in the statement.
