French nuclear regulator requests more information on Le Creusot

French nuclear regulator ASN asked Areva to provide an analysis ofrnwhy it failed to detect irregularities in the documentation ofrnmanufacturing at its Le Creusot forging facility as well as takerncorrective actions and provide additional information to the regulator,rnASN said in a letter to the company January 31.rnIn the letter, ASN described a report prepared by anrninternational team that inspected Le Creusot between November 28rnand December 2 in response to the discovery of discrepancies inrnthe manufacturing records for hundreds of forged componentsrnfrom the facility.
