Slovak nuclear regulator sets out conditions for Mochovce-3 commissioning

The Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic Jan. 26 issueda draft decision to approve the start-up of the Mochovce-3 reactor, setout the remaining conditions to be met for the operation of the unitand announced a further round of consultations with interestedparties, UJD said in a statement late Jan. 26.UJD spokeswoman Miriam Vachova said in an email Jan. 27 thatthe move could be regarded as a final step before a decision is madeon commissioning and start-up of Mochovce-3, highlighting, however,the remaining conditions and steps that still need to be met.
