摘要

The ability of the National Nuclear Security Administration's three weapons laboratories to protect classified information has recently been called into question by the Department of Energy's Office of Enforcement. In separate enforcement letters to Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore and Sandia national laboratories May 15, the Office of Enforcement-which is within DOE's Office of Health, Safety and Security-noted a troubling amount of incidents involving classified emails sent by unapproved methods as well as lax handling and storage of classified data and unimplemented cyber security requirements. The incidents, Office of Enforcement Director Arnold Guevara wrote in each case, "raise questions about the effectiveness of... the causal analysis process and corrective actions to prevent recurrence."
