AT OAK RIDGE............... LEAK REPAIRED AT URANIUM OPERATIONS BUILDING

Electronics and other equipment damaged earlier this year by a sizable leak in the Y-12 National Security Complex's enriched uranium operations building has been repaired, a spokesman at the plant said last week. About 200 gallons of water leaked into a room that supports special processing operations because of a problems with overhead chilled water system. The issue was first made public in a staff memo from the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board staff in early February.
