AT LOS ALAMOS: PROPRIETOR OF LOS ALAMOS BLOG DIES

Frank Young, a former Los Alamos National Laboratory subcontractor employee who ran the popular "LANL: The Rest of the Story" blog, died suddenly Jan. 23 at the age of 47. The blog was a virtual gathering place for critics of the lab's management under Los Alamos National Security, LLC, a Bechtel-led team that took over management in 2006. It was widely read by journalists, congressional staffers and others who follow lab affairs, including senior officials within the lab's management. In a 2008 interview with the New Mexico Independent, Young described the blog as not anti-lab, "just anti-bad management."
