AIR FORCE 'A10' INTENT ON MAINTAINING IMPROVEMENTS TO NUCLEAR MISSION

After revamping its nuclear mission in the wake of several high profile blunders, the Air Force is entering the second phase of its nuclear overhaul: making sure those changes stick. Maj. Gen. William Chambers, who earlier this year replaced Maj. Gen. Donald Alston as the Air Force's Assistant Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (known as the A10), said at an Air Force Association breakfast last week that the Air Force has made significant progress in repairing its nuclear mission over the last three years, but attention has now turned to maintaining the changes.
