摘要

Ensuring the Obama Administration-and future Presidents-follow through with pledges to invest heavily in the modernization of the nuclear weapons complex over the next decade and beyond has emerged as a key issue for Senate Republicans as they weigh ratification of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russia. The Administration has promised $80 billion for the weapons complex over the next 10 years, beginning with a $624 million increase in the Fiscal Year 2011 request for the National Nuclear Security Administration.
