Four Communities Ruled Out as Nuclear Waste Site, NWMO of Canada Reports

The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) of Canada reports that four communities which had expressed interest in serving as the host to a high-level nuclear waste site have been ruled out as unsuitable. However, 17 others are still in the running, the NWMO says. The WMO announced it rejected the Saskatchewan communities of English River First Nation and Pinehouse, and the Ontario communities of Ear Falls and Wawa.
