Investigations were begun near a former airbase in Scotland to determine whether sand dunes in the area could be contaminated by low-level radioactive waste. Published reports say the Ministry of Defense has confirmed that luminous, radioactive dials from 1,000 World War Ⅱ era aircraft were buried on land the ministry once owned beside the Findhorn Foundation in Moray.
