Taiwan's state-run utility Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower) has announced that it does not have to compensate North Korea for allegedly breaking a contract to have North Korea dispose of Taiwan's radioactive waste because the contract never took effect and has expired.News reports say North Korea has sued Taipower for damages of approximately $10.1 million for breaking the contract signed more than 16 years ago.
