Exclusive measurement of the ~8Li(α, n)~(11)B reaction cross section

The excitation function of the ~8Li(α, n)~(11)B reaction was measured in the energy region of E_(cm) = 0.7 - 2.6 MeV by using a highly efficient detector system and a highly pure low-energy ~8Li-beam. The obtained reaction cross section is roughly 1.6 times smaller than the one by a previous inclusive measurement. The excitation function of the ~8Li(α, n)~(11)B to the ~(11)B ground state and the excitation energy spectrum in the residual nucleus ~(11)B are also shown.
