The governing board of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) ushered in "landmark" changes to its structure and mission at a meeting held in July in Murmansk, Russia. The decision to make the changes, which include the election of four additional governors, was made earlier this year during WANO's 10th Biennial General Meeting, held January 31-February 2 in Delhi, India.
