A Strike At Nine Mile Point Ended on July 22, after Local 97 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers agreed to a new contract with Constellation Energy, the owner and operator of the plant. During the strike, which began on July 9, management personnel took on the responsibilities of the strikers, who work in operations, maintenance, radiation protection, and chemistry. The new contract runs through June 2015. Nine Mile Point has two boiling water reactors, rated at 613 MWe and 1143.3 MWe, at a site near Scriba, N.Y.
