Chu favors nuclear for 'clean energy' standard

On December 7, the New Millennium Nuclear Energy Summit was held in Washington, D.C. The event was set up by Third Way, a nonprofit public policy organization, and Idaho National Laboratory, but it was instigated by Sens. Tom Carper (D., Del.) and George Voinovich (R., Ohio) to spur federal encouragement of nuclear power development.
