Southern Nuclear, APS cited for security issues

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has cited both Southern Nuclear Operating Company and Arizona Power Service Company (APS) for nuclear power plant security violations. In a letter of final significance determination dated April 16 for a violation at the Farley plant, near Dothan, Ala., the NRC informed Southern Nuclear that the agency's preliminary finding which it had characterized as greater than green (of more than very low security significance), has been confirmed.
