The Goliad In Situ Uranium Recovery (ISR) Project in South Texas has the go-ahead for construction, after the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality released a final Radioactive Materials License (RML) to developer Uranium Energy Corporation (UEC) on December 20, 201 I. A draft RML was released in September (NN, Oct. 2011, p. 112), and UEC said on December 20 that it "now has all of the required permits to begin construction at the site, and the procurement of materials and initial wellfield development will commence shortly." The Goliad project, one of four uranium projects UEC owns in South Texas, is located 40 miles east of the company's Hobson ISR uranium processing facility.
