Anfield Resources Has Received Conditional Approval from the Utah Division of Radiation Control (UDRC) to take over ownership of the Shootaring Canyon uranium mill from Uranium One Americas, Anfield announced on October 30. The UDRC also agreed to extend the deadline to October 31, 2015, for Anfield to submit a license renewal application for the mill. This will allow the company time to prepare the application, which will outline the modifications that Anfield believes are necessary for the Shootaring mill to achieve operating status. Uranium One and Anfield on August 18 jointly applied to transfer ownership as part of a plan that will have Anfield acquiring the mill along with a portfolio of Uranium One's uranium assets. Because Utah is an agreement state, the application does not require approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
