Nigerien government and AREVA sign agreement

On May 26, AREVA and the government of Niger signed an agreement to renew the mining contracts held by AREVA's two Nigerien mining companies, Soma'ir and Cominak. Omar Hamidou Tchania, Niger's minister of mines and industrial development, Gilles Baillet, Niger's minister of finance, and Luc Oursel, president and chief executive officer of AREVA, signed the agreement in Niamey, the capital of Niger.
