IAEA lauds Armenian, Belgian security standards

The state of nuclear security in Armenia and Belgium is "robust," according to the International Atomic Energy Agency, which in December completed two-week International Physical Protection Advisory Service (IPPAS) reviews of both countries' nuclear security regimes. IPPAS, created by the IAEA in 1995, sends out teams of international experts to assess nations' systems of physical protection, compare them with international best practices, and make recommendations for improvement.
