Vacuum building outage: A prelude to the Darlington refurbishment

Having opened the Nuclear Onboarding Centre (NOBC) in early 2015, Ontario Power Generation was able to use this resource for onboarding contract workers brought in for the Darlington vacuum building outage (VBO), which was OPG's largest project of 2015. This vital inspection and maintenance outage, which required that the entire station be shut down, took about a month to complete, with the station returning to service in early November.
