Agency warns that decline in nuclear power threatens climate goals

Areport issued recently by the International Energy Agency (IEA) says that a steep reduction in the use of nuclear power among advanced economies could result in billions of tons of additional carbon emissions. The report, Nuclear Power in a Clean Energy System, was released during the 10th Clean Energy Ministerial, held May 27-29 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
