UK Regulator Approves Restart of Hunterston B Units

On April 13, the UK's Office of Nuclear Regulation (ONR) approved the restart of Units 3 and 4 (490 & 495 MWe GCRs) at EDF Energy’s Hunterston B Nuclear Power Plant in Scotland. Units 3 and 4 will be active for approximately six months each, as the facility's final period of operation before moving into the defueling phase, according to an ONR statement.
