Reflectometry has overcome many of its teething problems. For some measurements (e.g., of electron density and Plasma turbulence rotation) the profiles are generated fully Automatically after each plasma discharge. Apart from these Routine measurements it has been demonstrated in a number Of papers that reflectometry can be excellently used for the Analysis of macroscopic plasma perturbations. However, little Progress has been made in the field of divertor reflectometry, Despite the fact that there is a high demand for good Measurements of density profiles in future fusion deices.
