Combining nuclear and gas for economy and life extension

Nuclear power plants already in operation are ageing, and capital investment in new plants becomes less and less likely. One response must be to look for unconventional technologies that can extend the life of operating nuclear plants, and reduce the construction cost of new plants. One such is the combined-cycle nuclear-gas power plant.
