Over half of Europeans (53%) think that the risks posed by nuclear energy are greater than the advantages it offers, according to the Special Eurobarometer No 271 study published in February 2007 by the Directorate for Nuclear Energy of the European Commission's (EC's) Directorate General for Energy and Transport.
