Proactive degradation management

摘要

Extending the lifetime of existing nuclear power plant is an attractive proposition for utilities. However longer-term operations (LTO) will probably require new approaches to detecting, characterizing, monitoring, and managing degradation and predicting remaining life of critical systems and components. Prognostics could fill this role.
