On 29 July, Korea celebrated first concrete for a new APR-1400 nuclear power plant, Shin-Hanul 2. The reactor vessel for Shin-Hanul 2 is due for installation in April 2015, with fuel loading in July 2017, and start-up in February 2018, KHNP said. Unit 2 of the Watts Bar nuclear plant is "most likely" to start commercial operation in December 2015, Tennessee Valley Authority said in July. The project also remains within its $4-4.5 billion budget.
